Slat Conveyor Meets Auto Parts Manufacturer's Unit Handling Needs

- Tuesday, January 8, 2013

Slat conveyors can be easily modified for mounting assembly line fixtures.  In this  application, the customer wanted to convey torque converters, for vehicle transmissions, which would have a maximum weight of 30 lbs. each.  A robot places the part in the fixture at a rate of one part every 28 seconds.  Special color match supports factory floor visual standards.
